Sustainable Energy in the EU Caribbean OCTs
Work
As Communications and Visibility Manager for the EU-funded RESEMBID programme, I led strategic communications for a €50 million regional initiative aimed at strengthening resilience and sustainable development across 12 Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs).
My focus in the Sustainable Energy sector centered on supporting the region’s transition away from fossil fuel dependency through the promotion of energy efficiency, diversification, and low-carbon technologies.

I developed and implemented a robust omni-channel strategy that elevated the visibility of RESEMBID’s Sustainable Energy work, translating complex technical content into compelling narratives tailored for diverse audiences. This included showcasing the impact of renewable energy training, feasibility studies, and in-country pilot projects. I collaborated with renowned Caribbean filmmakers to produce a series of high-impact promotional videos, capturing the essence of the programme’s four pillars — widely used by regional partners to amplify key messages.

Through targeted messaging and the creation of a ‘Community of Practice’, I facilitated knowledge-sharing among beneficiaries and implementing partners, helping to foster regional cooperation and uptake of sustainable energy solutions. I also played a lead role in strengthening the programme’s brand identity, reinforcing the EU’s commitment to climate resilience and sustainable development in the Caribbean.
